Rev. Ken Miller, PhD. – Interim Pastor
Dr Ken Miller
Ken was called to ministry out of secular employment in the banking industry. A graduate of Evangelical, he has led congregations in Dauphin and York Counties, as well as in Highland Park, IL. The latter occurred in conjunction with his doctoral studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He began work at Evangelical in 1993; in addition to teaching, Ken served as Academic Dean from 2002-2005, deciding to return to fulltime classroom duties thereafter.
He has continued to be involved in pastoral ministry, serving as interim pastor at five different churches over the past several years. Ken is also a frequent speaker at Bible Conferences, churches, retreats, and college campuses. In the spring of 2007 he taught at The Evangelical College of Theology in northeast India. He is heavily involved in the Myerstown community, serving three terms on the Eastern Lebanon County School District's Board of Education, on the district's Drug and Alcohol Task Force, and as the Community Representative to the Ethics Committee of the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. He has authored articles in The Evangelical Journal, and is currently working on a survey of doctrine for the Evangelical Congregational Church.
Ken is married to Julie, who has worked in the Rostard Library at Evangelical since 1993. They are the parents of Allison and Andrea and the grandparents of Harrison. |

Rev. L. Allen Giles – Associate Pastor

Rev. L.
Allen Giles, (aka Pastor Al) is the Associate Pastor
at Trinity E.C. Church.
He is a graduate of Boyertown High (’78), Messiah
College (’82 -B.A. Religion) and Evangelical School
of Theology (’86 - M.Div.)
He serves the EC General Conference on the Delaware Regional
Conference Relations Committee (CRC), is a Church Consultant
under the Church Health Commission and a pastoral coach.
He has been involved in Youth Ministry, Christian Camping
ministry and short-term missions. He has served as Youth
Pastor (Reedsville Bethesda E.C. Church 1983-85) and Pastor
(Zion E.C. Church, Hazleton, PA 1985-1993).
Born and raised in Boyertown by his parents (Linwood and
Marie), he married Cheryle Lynne (Heisler) and has two
sons - Justin Allen and Jared Andrew.
He enjoys the following aspects of his service to our Lord
Jesus Christ:
• Challenging believers to following Jesus through Discipleship
ministry
• Plugging people into intentional relationships and watching
them flourish
• Leading people to Christ through Spirit-arranged opportunities
•
Planning worship that engages the heart, mind & senses
• Teaching and challenging believers to apply the Word of
God
• Working together with a great staff
In his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, cheering
on BASH and Kutztown U. football and producing football
videos!

Rev. Mark F. Pettis – Youth Pastor

Rev. Mark F. Pettis, known more commonly as 'Pastor Mark' is the Youth Pastor at Trinity E.C. Church, Boyertown. He graduated from Spring Arbor College with a B.A. in Contemporary Ministries and an A.A. in Youth Ministries from Central College. He was born in Erie, PA on September 7, 1966. On June 8, 1991 he married Brittney (duBois). Brittney received a Communications Degree from Moody Bible College. She is in the vocation of a Writer/Editor. Mark loves to work with the teens and young adults in both large and small group settings. Participating in most sports he has gained a good knowledge base and can provide some athletic training. He plays the guitar and can lead group choruses. He takes pleasure from backpacking, white water rafting, repelling, and just about all outdoor activities! In his leisure time he enjoys a good book. As Youth Pastor of TEC Church, Mark works with the teens to help them grow in the Love of Jesus and encourages proper relationships with: God, each other, parents and the church. |

Pastor Rick Christman – Children’s Pastor
pr@boyertownec.org Pastor Rick as the children like to call him was born in Easton PA, and lived most of his life in Emmaus and Pastor Rick was saved at the age of nine at summer camp with his father. He is married to his wife, Karen, and they have one daughter, Kaylee. Pastor Rick is a graduate of United Wesleyan College with a BS in Pastoral Ministry, and the Evangelical School of Theology with a Master of Divinity Christian Ed. While at United Wesleyan Pastor Rick was able to attend a class on Children’s Ministry, and the rest as we say was history, a passion for Children’s Ministry was born. He served as Children’s Pastor in Adamstown PA for four years, and then went on to serve as Senior Pastor for nine years. Always feeling that calling to children’s ministry he accepted a calling from Trinity E.C. church in Boyertown to be their children’s pastor in July of 2004. |

Rev. Don McHenry – Visitation Pastor

Pastor Don, as he is called by the congregation, was born in Illinois.
His parents returned to Pennsylvania during his teen years.
He graduated from Penn State and completed seminary training at San Francisco Theological Seminary.
He served pastorates in western Pennsylvania. While serving in his first church, he met and married Ann Ellis from Erie. After their three children relocated to southeastern Pennsylvania, he and his wife moved to Douglassville upon retirement.
He has served as Trinity’s Visitation Pastor since 1998. He enjoys his ministry of visiting the sick and shut-in. |
